The switch needs to be a HF switch preferable with contacts, no solid state and 75 Ohm characteristic impedance.

This way of working doesn't need termination of the open ends because the transmitter can handle open cable + the calibration will be done when no open cables are in the path.

Calibration in case radiators share the same area

Only in case the rooms can be merged physically.

Cable constraints :

§ Keep cables C2-1, C3-1 and C4-1 as short as possible : use a 0.5 meter. This means that the switches need to be next to their transmitter SWx need to be next to TXx. The interconnection cable between SWxA and SWxB need to be also maximum 0.5 meter.

§ Length of cable C2-2 needs to be equal to the length of cable C1-3 minus the length of cable C1-2 :

        • Example :
          • cable C1-2 = 10 m (building constraint)
          • cable C1-3 = 35 m (building constraint)
          • means that cable C2-2 needs to be 25 m

§ Length of cable C3-2 needs to be equal to the length of cable C1-4 minus the length of cable C1-3 :

        • Example :
          • cable C1-3 = 25 m which was the above result
          • cable C1-4 = 40 m (building constraint)
          • means that cable C3-2 needs to be 5 m, when this length is not feasible choose for instance 10 m and add 5 extra meters to C1-4

Calibration need to be done when pattern E is active (all rooms merged). This has also the consequence that the radiators will only be seen by transmitter 1.

During startup, all rooms may be calibrated in pattern A to check the equipment, but the final calibration needs to be done in pattern E.
