Automatically start browser in full screen

When you want to display the signage on a specific screen, the browser needs to start in full-screen mode. Depending on the web browser you use, you need to follow a different procedure. Below you can find a short description of how to configure this setting.

Chrome

To automatically start chrome in full-screen, follow the procedure described below

  1. Create a shortcut of Chrome on your desktop.
  2. Right click the shortcut on your desktop and go to Properties
  3. In the Shortcut tab add the following text to the target field: "localhost:9000/signage" --start-fullscreen or "localhost:9000/signage" --start-fullscreen.
  4. To start Chrome every time your computer starts, copy the shortcut and paste it into the Startup folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup).

Replace localhost by the IP address of the computer where CoCon is installed, when you are accessing the application from another computer.

Firefox

To automatically start Firefox in full-screen, you can download an add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org. Then add the shortcut of the Firefox browser to your startup folder.
